How do you purchase a ticket online?

Visit Fløibanens web shop at www.floyen.no, choose the appropriate date, number of persons and start/stop station.

Then register your name and email address. You can log in easily and submit payment via your credit card.

We accept Visa or MasterCard.

A receipt for the purchase and a bar code ticket will be sent to your email address.
Your receipt contains a bar code and is your entrance ticket.
There is one ticket per passenger.
When you purchase subsequent tickets you wont need to register personal information and credit card information.

The ticket containing the bar code will be scanned at the entrance to Fløibanen from your smartphone or paper receipt.

Can I purchase multiple tickets in one transaction?

Yes, you can easily purchase multiple single and return tickets in one transaction.

What about children?

Children under the age of 4 years travel free on Fløibanen when accompanied by a fare-paying adult. Children between the age of 4 and 15 pay a child fare.

Adult passengers with a ticket may take children under the age of 4 years through the entrance gate.

Pushchair/pram?
Fløibanen has separate entrance gates for pushchairs/prams and wheelchairs.

How does the ticket work when I wish to travel on Fløibanen?

The receipt sent to your email address once you have submitted payment contains one ticket per passenger. This ticket contains a bar code.

If you own a smartphone, the email containing the receipt can be opened in your phone and the ticket scanned directly from your phone at the entrance gate.

If you dont own a smartphone, the ticket must be printed in advance and the paper ticket can then be scanned at the entrance gate to Fløibanen.

When is the ticket valid?

The ticket is valid on the day it was issued for when you booked it. You cannot use the ticket on any day other than the day it was issued for.

Tickets purchased online and which are not used for any reason, are not refundable.

Do I have to choose a specific date?

The ticket is only valid for the date you have booked.

Do I have to go to the ticketoffice first?

If you reloaded a Keycard/chipcard you cand go directly to the slopes, unless the product you bought requires other information.

If you did not have Keycard and ordered this online, you'll need to go to the ticketoffice to pick this up.
