These general terms and conditions apply to Fløibanen AS as the service provider and to the person or business who themselves or through others makes a booking on the service provider's website. The booking/order may apply to tickets, activities, purchase of other products and services, or a combination of these.

1. Buyer's liability
Before making a final booking, the buyer shall read and become familiar with important information about the relevant product. The buyer is responsible for ensuring that the purchase is in accordance with his/her own wishes. The buyer is responsible for ensuring that the information in the booking confirmation (only sent via email) is in accordance with the booking.
The bar code ticket is scanned at the entrance gate prior to boarding
To purchase a ticket, you must first register and log in as a user.
You may also log in via (Facebook and Google+).
When you register via Facebook or Google+, the service provider will create an account for you with the email address you are registered with for these services.
You may change your personal information at any time by logging in to "My page".
If you are already registered, you don't need to log in.
2. Ticket
Fløibanen has an electronic ticketing and entrance system. In order to board Fløibanen, each passenger must have a separate valid ticket.
This applies to all passengers over 4 years of age.
Children from 0–3 years of age may pass through the entrance system when accompanied by an adult in possession of a valid ticket.

The bar code ticket printed or opened on a mobile phone is read at the entrance gate prior to boarding.
The ticket is only valid on the day it was issued for and may only be used on this day.
The date the ticket is valid for appears on the ticket.
It is important that you take care of your online ticket.
In the event that a passenger produces an invalid ticket, fails to produce or misuses a ticket, a penalty of NOK 750 may be imposed in accordance with Fløibanen's terms and conditions of carriage. The terms and conditions of carriage may be found at the stations and in the trains.
To pass through the entrance gate you must bring the bar code ticket that you purchased online, or your smartphone with a pdf of the bar code ticket, so that it can be scanned by the ticket reader.
3. Booking and ordering
After correctly completing an online payment, you will receive a receipt via email. The receipt will contain a bar code ticket and all details of your purchase. You must bring this receipt with you to Fløibanen.
The booking is not completed and is not valid in the following instances:

4. Payment
We use a payment system from Netaxept and you may pay by Visa or MasterCard. No third party will have access to your personal information or credit card number.
5. Right of cancellation
Tickets purchased online do not entitle the buyer to cancel or claim a refund on the ticket, see chapter 5-19 of Angrerettloven (the Act relating to a Cooling-Off Period). This also applies to product packages and promotions containing specifically dated tickets or specifically dated events.
6. Changes to taxes and duties
In the event of an increase in taxes and/or duties, thereby leading to a cost increase for the service provider after the booking has been processed and paid for, prices may be increased accordingly for the buyer.
The buyer shall be immediately notified of any change in price.
7. Provison
Fløibanen AS assumes no liability for any publishing or proofreading errors on web pages or in any other information distributed by Fløibanen AS.
8. Dispute resolution
The buyer is asked to contact Fløibanen AS if he/she wishes to make a complaint in respect of booked tickets and/or events and product packages.
If the buyer and Fløibanen AS are unable to come to an agreement, any dispute concerning a previously entered-into agreement shall be resolved by Bergen District Court.
9. Force Majeure
Both parties are entitled to terminate the agreement if an event cannot be completed due to acts of war, natural disasters, labour disputes, prolonged interruption of water or power supply, fire or other similar major events that neither party could have predicted or influenced.
